A technical visit to ÇİMSA Afyon Cement Plant was organized on December 19, 2025, by the Entrepreneurship and Career Development Research and Application Center, with the participation of female students from the Department of Economics.
The program began with an informative session where students were introduced to internship opportunities offered within the Sabancı Group companies, including ÇİMSA. This was followed by a workplace health and safety training. Afterwards, participants toured the factory site, visiting each unit involved in the production process under the guidance of specialized staff.
A noteworthy aspect of this visit was the exclusive participation of female students, which provided a valuable opportunity to highlight the importance of supporting women’s employment. During the visit, students were accompanied by female professionals from a variety of technical departments—including civil engineering and environmental engineering—serving as inspiring role models.
At the end of the visit, all participants received certificates of participation.
